Provide a Base for Your Tile
The first thing you will want to do will be to provide a solid base for your tiles. If you already have an existing concrete slab you will want to make sure it is properly prepared before laying down your tiles. Make sure all concrete slabs are free from large cracks, holes and crumbling concrete. This will interfere with your tiles when you lay them. You can fill in any smalls holes or cracks with concrete to make sure your base is a solid structure to hold your tiles. If you do have any crumbling, you will want to make sure it is structurally sound before starting any tile work. Crumbling may be a sign of some structure issues.
Choose the Right Tile
Next you will want to choose the right tile flooring that will work for the conditions and elements surrounding your patio. We have an amazing selection at Plumbtile. Choose your Grout
Once you have chosen the right tile from Plumbtile’s inventory, you will want to select and mix your adhesive. Make sure you are using expansion joints as well to allow for movement due to impending changes in the weather. There are many different adhesives to choose from. Once you have completed laying the adhesive on the tile. You will want to make sure to grout between the cracks and to fill the expansion joints to completely bond your flooring to your concrete. Once that is completed and you seal your tile you will have a long lasting amazing outdoor space durable in any weather.
