Framed Mirrors

It’s common for framed mirrors to have a bracket centered at the top of the frame.  However that is not always the case.  If your mirror doesn’t have a center bracket, connect a wire between two side brackets. Ensure that the curve of the wire when pulled tight does not extend past the top of the frame. Twist the wire around itself several times and use pliers to snip off any extra.

Next, pinpoint the desired location on the wall, and mark it.  Then, attach a properly sized hook.  Hang the mirror wire on the hook and adjust it until the mirror is level.

Small Frameless Mirrors

Unlike framed mirrors, small frameless mirrors are usually held in place with clips. First, determine where the mirror will be placed, and how many clips will be needed based on the size of your mirror.  Also, be mindful of the composition of the wall or door that you will be mounting your mirror to.

Large Frameless Mirrors

Large frameless mirrors are often supported directly on the countertop and affixed to the wall with mirror adhesive. After determining the precise location that your mirror will be affixed, mark that location.  Stage the mirror close to its final position before applying adhesive. Make sure that you have someone to assist you when handling large mirrors.

Apply mirror adhesive to the back of the mirror and/or to the wall.  Follow the instructions provided by the adhesive manufacturer. Then, move the mirror into position and support it as recommended.
